The latest in the long running Predator series of movies hits the top of the North American box office on its first weekend with a gross of $40 Million.

The movie follow Prey which didn't get a cinema release but the previous movie, The Predator did and it took $24.6 Million on its debut.

Last weeks top movie Black Phone 2 falls to number 3 this weekend and has taken over $70 Million to date.

The Predator francise, like the Alien franchise has had its ups and downs over the years, but these latest movies seem to have hit a high note as Predator: Badlands follows in the footsteps of Alien Romulus and pleases critics and fans alike

Predator: Badlands tops the UK box office on its debut with a £2.3 Million gross, the last Predator movie Prey did not get a cinema release but The Predator from 2018 make £2.3 Million on its debut.

In a very quiet marketplace the collaboration between director Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone Bugonia tops the UK box office with just £986,251.

This is the first time a movie has topped the UK box office with less than £1 Million since 25th August 2022 when Andre Rieus 2022 Maastricht Concert Happy Days are Here Again topped with just £798,706.

Last weeks top movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere falls to number 4 this week with a second weekend gross of £608,886 and has taken £2.8 Million.

Worthy of note is that the second highest new entry is the 40th Anniversary re-release of Back to the Future.
