$7.4 Million At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 1st November 2019, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock Joker from the top of the UK box office chart next week.
First up at cinemas this week is Doctor Sleep, a movie directed by Mike Flanagan who also directed Ouija: Origin Of Evil in 2016 which grossed £2.5 Million.
This is an adaptation to Stephen Kings novel and is the long awaited sequel to Stanley Kubrick's classic 1980 movie The Shining.
It stars Ewan McGregor who last starred in Christopher Robin (2018).
The film also stars Rebecca Ferguson who last appeared in Men In Black: International (2019).
Next on this weeks new release schedule is Brittany Runs A Marathon.
This new movie stars Jillian Bell who's last film was Rough Night (2017)
It also stars Jennifer Dundas who appeared in The Post (2018).

Next up this week is Western Stars which is directed by Bruce Springsteen and Thom Zimny directing together.
It stars Bruce Springsteen who was last seen in Asbury Park: Riots, Redemption, Rock 'n' Roll which grossed £43,489.
