The top total grossing film of the week was Minions which had taken £46.2 Million after 11 weeks of release.

The film with the longest run was Inception which had been on the box office for 9 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was Toy Story 3 which had taken £71 Million after 8 weeks of release.

The longerst run on the box office and the top total grossing film was Gladiator which had taken £30.6 Million over 18 weeks of release.
Making its debut at the top was Braveheart starring Mel Gibson and Sophie Marceau and directed by Mel Gibson
The film with the longest run was Bad Boys which had been on the box office for 13 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was Batman Forever which had taken £18.8 Million after 9 weeks of release.
The number one film was Memphis Belle which had been at the top for 2 weeks.
The top new film of the week was Paper Mask directed by Christopher Morahan and starring Paul McGann and Amanda Donohoe which entered the box office at number 3.
The longerst run on the box office and the top total grossing film was Pretty Woman which had taken £12.2 Million over 16 weeks of release.
This week saw the true event film Everest climb to the summit of the box office charts on its debut week of release.
A £3.1 million opening gross, including previews, saw the film get to the top of the box office, although previews saw a large proportion of this.
Last weeks top film, Legend, had a small fall this week into the number 2 spot with £2.4 million over the weekend and nearly £10 million in total after 10 days of release.
Also making a first appearance on the chart this week is A Walk in the Woods at number 7 and Bill at number 8.
Highest total grossing film on the chart this week is Inside Out which has now grossed an incredible £37.6 million.

Five years ago - The Other Guys was the top new film of the week at the top knocking Resident Evil: Afterlife down to number 3.
Ten years ago - Pride and Prejudice made its debut at the top of the box office leaving The Longest Yard to fall from the top to number 2.<> Fifteen years ago - Scary Movie stayed on top of the chart while Shaft was the highest new film making its debut at number 3.
Twenty years ago - Braveheart was too strong to be knocked off the top on its second week on the chart meaning highest new film was at number 2 for The Bridges of Madison County.
Twenty Five years ago - Memphis Belle remained on top of the box office while Robocop 2 was the top film entering at number 2.

This week British film Legend starring Tom Hardy crashes in at the top of the UK box office in its debut weekend of release replacing Compton after a couple of weeks.
Legend is based on the story of the Kray twins and details their rise to infamy, the film takes £5.1 million on it's debut.
Falling from the top spot to number 4 this week is Straight Outta Compton, now on its 3rd week of release it has grossed a very respectable £7.1 million.
Also new on the chart this week is Maze Runner The Scorch Trials which enters at number 2 and M. Night Shyamalan The Visit which is new at 3, this makes a whole new top 3 at the UK.
Woody Allen's Irrational Man also enters the chart this week at number 9, low for a new Woody Allen film.
Highest grossing film on the box office this week is Inside Out which now sits at £36.8 million after 8 weeks of release.

Twenty years ago - Mel Gibsons multi Oscar winning Braveheart made its debut at the top leaving Batman Forever to fall into second.
